Some backgrounds that might receive special consideration include the following:

·        Petrographers with at least 7 years experience evaluating construction materials and interacting with clients

·        Geologists who have received training under a more classical geological curriculum

·        Inorganic chemists with excellent bench skills

·        Technicians/makers/craftspeople who are adept self-starters

·        People with electronics or process control experience who would enjoy contributing to a materials lab

·        Civil engineers who enjoy working with construction materials and may have coding or electronics experience

·        Perfectionists/English majors who would like to branch out into documents administration

·        Scientists in the building preservation field with a marketable skill not currently in our service offerings
